If you are like 99+ percent of the world’s population, you do not think you are worth much ... you have issues with low self esteem. We all do, we all need self esteem help (though some of us hide it behind a veneer of something, like arrogance, competence, perfection, material success, a happy face or something else).
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: Where Are the Good Enough People?
Why is that, one wonders? It’s strange. Because, hey, if 99+ percent of the world’s population believe they are not good enough, who the heck are the people who believe they ARE good enough?
Where are they hiding? I have met a LOT of people in my life, and I have yet to meet a single person who really, deep down believes he or she is 100 percent good enough.
If we can’t find these people who believe they are good enough, we have a serious problem. We NEED these people. They are the only thing standing between us and total ridicule!
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: Millimetres Away From Total Ridicule
Because if it turns out that ALL of us believe that we aren’t good enough, our argument falls flat. It hits the ground at 600 miles per hour, going splat and becoming meaningless in the process.
Here’s the rub: Not being good enough is a comparison. What you are busy believing is that you are not good enough COMPARED to the rest. If the rest of us aren’t good enough either, well, then it makes no sense!
Which, of course it doesn’t.
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: Low Self Esteem is a Meaningless Belief
Low self esteem doesn’t make any sense, and it doesn’t have to because it is not real, it is just something we BELIEVE.
And as you may have read elsewhere [LINK: BELIEFS] belief is only necessary when you don’t KNOW and have FEAR.
When it comes to being good enough (whatever IS that, anyway?) apparently most of us have both ignorance and fear.
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: What Is It With Ignorance and Fear?
Ignorance (not knowing) is actually fine in and of itself. You do not NEED to know anything. (You just think and believe you do). You can life a wonderful life without knowing ... as long as you trust yourself and life unconditionally.
Fear is not so fine. There is nothing wrong with fear as such, it is a natural reaction to clear and present danger. Your problems begin when you feel fear and there is no clear and present danger. And your problems multiply a hundredfold when you start BELIEVING whatever your fear is whispering in your mind.
In other words: In the face of actual, present danger feeling fear is natural and not a problem. Feeling fear without an actual danger is counterproductive. Believing whatever that fear is saying, is mindnumbingly stupid!
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: What Is Low Self Esteem?
Low self esteem is the FEAR that:
- You are not good enough
- You and your life are not important
- There is something wrong with you
... all based on the false basic assumption (belief) that you and life (all-there-is) are somehow separate. (You know, the crazy but extremely common thought that you are 'here' and life is 'over there' or 'out there').
If you and life are separate then there is something missing from both you and life. This means that both you and life must be not-whole, broken, defective and deficient.
What a load of crap! (Sorry, but it really is; and I will prove it to you, so that you may start to un-believe it).

Overcoming Low Self Esteem: Setting the Record Straight
Here is how it REALLY is (with easy to understand proof attached):
- You and life are NOT separate. You and life (all-there-is) are one. Always have been, always will be, and there is absolutely nothing what so ever you can do to change that, because:
You exist inside life, and life exists inside you.
If you did not exist inside life (all-there-is), where else would you exist? (Where is that place which is not a part of all-there-is?)
If life did not exist inside of you, well, you would be dead. (It's as simple as that, and you know it.)
This means that:
There is nothing missing from either you or life. Both you and life are whole, unbroken, and one hundred percent as you should be, just the way you are.
This again means that:
- There is nothing wrong with you
- You and your life are unique and thus as important as can be
- You are indeed more than good enough the way you are
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: Low Self Esteem Is a Lie
So, obviously, low self esteem is lie, a blatant lie. That's really all there is to say about that.
Overcoming Low Self Esteem: What You Are Busy Doing
You are busy believing a blatant lie.
It doesn't matter how you have come to believe it.
What matters is that you begin to change that belief. If you doubt that you can change a belief, check out the texts on beliefs [LINK].
So, the next time you get one of the three basic low self esteem feelings/thoughts ('I am not good enough', 'I and my life do not matter/are not important' or 'There is something wrong with me') PLEASE remind yourself that it is a blatant lie.
Because in order for it to be true you would have to exist in a place that does not exist (that place which is not a part of all-there-is) AND you would also have to be dead!
So just use your senses (seeing, feeling, smelling, tasting, hearing, intuiting with your sixth sense, and more). If anything at all (any part of all-there-is) is registering with as much as one of your senses, well then you KNOW that:
- Whatever the fear based low self esteem is telling you, is wrong, wrong, WRONG!
And that:
- You are as you should be; you are good, important, whole, and intimately connected to life!
