You Ask: Who Am I?
- Your Authentic Identity

• Asking: Who am I?
• Wanna know who you really are?
• It's quite simple, really - though maybe not easy.

*** Note: Page under construction. [LINK] means hyperlink upcoming. ***

So, you have arrived here to find out who you are. Nice. Welcome.

Let's jump right into it.

Who Do YOU Think You Are?

Just who and what do you think you are? Do you think you are rich? Poor? Successful? A failure? Employed? Unemployed?

Well, you're not. You just think you are.

Are you sure you are good looking? Bad looking? Tall? Short? Fat? Skinny?

Well, you would think something like that, wouldn't you? But really, you're not. You just believe you are.

Do you think you a woman? A man? A hermaphrodite? A transvestite?

Ah, I got you, there. You were really sure that you were one of those, weren't you? But sorry, you're not.

Okay, so maybe the question 'Who am I?' is not so easy to answer? Oh, yes it is.

Who and What Are You REALLY?
You still want to know the answer to the 'Who am I?' question? Good. My answer to that question is:

You are that which gets all of those labels glued on. Or, to put it differently: You are that which CONTAINS all of those labels

Fat is a label. Poor is a label. Woman is a label. But those labels are not who you are. Okay? They are just labels.

You know what you can do with those labels? You can tear them right off yourself, and shove them where the sun don't shine! (I think that is somewhere in Nebraska, USA [LINK: GARY L's CARTOON, QUOTED]).

So tear off the labels. This will bring you closer to your 'Who am I' answer. I promise.

Just try it. Try it now. You can do it with the way you think you look.

You can do it with the job title you currently hold (including the job title 'unemployed' or 'self employed').

You can do it with what you currently think about your body (like fat, skinny, tall, short, beautiful, ugly, etc.) and you can do it with whatever else you think or believe about yourself (like intelligent, dumb, efficient, lazy, friendly, hostile, open minded, single minded, helpful, egocentric ... anything!).

In fact you can do it with ANY answer that comes to mind when you ask 'Who Am I?' Every single answer your mind produces for you is a label!

Grab hold of that label and tear it right off you! (Remember: If you want, you can make this temporary. If you take the label off, you can always put it right back on. Anytime. Those labels are sticky!)

After You've Torn Off One Label
Done that? Torn a label off? Good.

Now I ask you: Are you still you yourself without that label?

What is your experience? Do you still have an 'I'? Is that 'I' still you? Are you still there, as yourself?

I don't need to hear your answer, I know you are still yourself. Years of experience as a coach and guide in consciousness tell me that no matter what label you rid yourself of, you are still yourself without it. In fact, you are even MORE yourself without it.

You are now one step closer to your 'Who am I' answer.

But let's check that. Now that you are rid of one label, I ask you:

How do you feel without that label? More confined or less confined? More free or less free? More joyful or less joyful? More loving or less loving? More at peace or less at peace?

Again, I don't need to hear your answer. You may feel a slight trepidation over having done something that has you a bit worried, but I know you will feel less confined, more free, more joyful, more loving and more at peace. Perhaps just a tiny bit.

But nevertheless: You feel better when you rid yourself of a label. And, of course, you are still you.

Your Next Move
So, when you have torn off one label, what you do is you move on to the next label and tear that one off, too. Throw it in the garbage. Keep doing that. Make it a sport. It's great fun.

I have been doing it for years. And I promise you: After a while it will make you feel sooo much better! Also, you get closer and closer to the true answer to the 'Who am I? question.

But wait. Here's a worry: When you have torn off ALL the labels, who are you? Will you even still be there?

Right now you probably don't know. Or, to be precise, you do know, but you have suppressed that knowledge. Forgotten it. Well, I am here to remind you.

What Happens When All the Labels Are Gone?
When you have removed every single label you have ever put on yourself (or allowed others to put on you) you still exist. And not only that: You exist in the most powerful, free, shining, serene and loving edition of you. The true, authentic you. The power you have! The freedom! The inner peace!

You now have your 'Who am I' answer.

This is what I wanted to tell you. If, by now, you are curious as to HOW you can tear off those pesky labels, I invite you to check out the page Unveiling Your True Identity by Tearing Off Your Labels [LINK].

Like I said: Tearing them all off (every single one of them!) will unveil the true answer to your 'Who am I? question.

Live as long as you choose and prosper as much as you want, but do have fun while you are here!
